I recently had the privilege of speaking to NAWBO in San Antonio. I shared with them something that happened to me years ago that changed my life and thought it might be beneficial to them also. I told them the following true story…

It was over 20 years ago that I met a young man in Phoenix. He was on stage running back and forth with more energy than anyone I had ever seen. He was yelling to all of us “if you want something …write it down… , want to meet someone… , write it down… , want to go somewhere… , write it down…, write it down… , write it down.”

Wow what a simple but powerful message that would be for me.

I decided to do exactly what he said, what did I have to lose. I started to write in a blank book all the things I wanted to see, do and have. It was like magic for me, the written word seemed powerful. My life started unfolding just like the book that I had written… the car I drove, the house I lived in, the business I owned, even the books I had not even written yet.

It took me years before I could put this down in simple format to share with others so they could use the tool to get what they wanted in life also. Was it really this easy? It certainly seemed to be for me. Later I discovered that if you write things down 50% come into your life, if you write it down and speak about it (affirmations) like it already happened 75% comes into your life….however if you write it , affirm it, and visualize it 100% comes into your life. Amazing.

Many new teachings continually come into my life to support this tool I used years ago. The movement of the SECRET was one of them. It didn’t emphasize the written word but it certainly supported the message. Our thoughts are things, so be careful what you are thinking.

That gentleman (who became my MENTOR) told us that day about what he wanted, what was important to him. He shared that he wanted to write A book. Not just any book but THE book that could be found everywhere in the world…

Q  What is the most surprising thing you have learned about internet marketing

A  Other than that SEOs are not for everyone, and you have to be proactive, my biggest surprise was what I discovered when I interviewed Timothy Ferriss, author of THE 4 HOUR WORK WEEK.    I asked him what took his business to the next level and he replied  “Oh, I know that answer… BLOGGING”

You have got to be kidding me….I had no idea blogging was that powerful.  I had heard others talking about it but after his answer I thought, “why not??”

I personally am just starting my blogging campaign.  In fact I think of it as a BLOGGING reality show.  Everyone can watch my ups and downs with blogging and take the best of the best away from the entire campaign.

This week I want to mention another area that I am finally conquering, to earn another multiple stream of income… Internet Marketing.

4 years ago I attended a dynamic weekend seminar that I traveled clear across the country to attend. I learned so many ways to make money on the internet. I came back to Phoenix ready to make my first million on my ebook, or my membership site, and for sure with my new SEO (search engine optimization expert)

To my dismay none of that happened. In fact I spent thousands of dollars and got NOWHERE.

Then I discovered two gals that teach the internet the way it should be taught.

Linda Allen and Robin M Powers, at Biz Recipes, know how to simplify the process and make it work for all of us, not just the technical gurus. One of the things I personally learned about the internet is that I need to be proactive. I could not wait for someone to find me on the search engines, or I could be waiting for a very long time. My first attempt to be proactive was sending out an email campaign, and it worked - people liked my email! The majority of you wanted to read the email, answer the trivia question, and read the quote at the end. I have now graduated to this ezine that you are reading.

If I knew then what I know now I would have done so many things differently in business.  I owned an Executive Recruiting Firm for over 20 years in Phoenix Az and kept all my eggs in that one basket.  When the dot coms failed it almost took me out of business.   I vowed then that I would never let that happen again.   I have created several income streams in my life today from completely different sources.  The one I want to discuss today is the Real Estate part of our income.

Obviously right now in this economy it is a little difficult, however you can look at the economy as a challenge or an opportunity.  The information I have just learned from Jack Bosch has been eye opening.

I always thought of Real Estate as buying a house, fixing it up and selling it for a profit, or better yet renting it out.  Jack’s idea of buying raw land at a GREAT price, learning systems for gathering the necessary information from your local courthouse is brilliant advice.Now this might not be for everyone, in fact, I personally knew I could not devote a lot of time to land exploration so my husband who is a builder and developer has attended Jack’s program and we are off and running with that income stream.
