Strangest Secret - Final

Hello from San Francisco, where I am speaking to 200 business owners and entrepreneurs tonight, just like you. I am excited to tell you about a teleseminar that has been requested by so many of you. If it’s of interest to you, jump on it – it’s FREE!

Also, watch for our LIVE event which is coming January 15-16, to beautiful, sunny Phoenix, AZ. I will be offering incredible deals next week when we launch.

In the meantime, I hope you are enjoying the fall colors as much as I am. We went apple-picking last weekend …now, how fun is that?  I love Halloween, with all the small children pretending to be something cool or scary! Don’t you remember when you were young, running from house to house, wondering what delicious piece of candy you would get?

Enjoy the last part of Strangest Secret. So many of you have told me it has had a great affect on you. I’m glad you like it!

We are where we are because that’s exactly where we really want to be—-whether we’ll admit that or not.

Each of us must live off the fruit of our thoughts in the future, because what you think today and tomorrow—next month—next year, will mold your life and determine your future.

YOU ARE GUIDED BY YOUR MIND

Remember, no matter what your present job, it has enormous possibilities—if you are willing to pay the price by keeping these four points in mind:

1. You will become what you think about.2. Remember the word “imagination” and let your mind begin to soar.3. Courageously concentrate on your goal every day.4. Save 10% of what you earn.

Finally – TAKE ACTION! Ideas are worthless unless we act on them!!

I‘ll try to outline the 30-day test I want you to take. Keep in mind that you have nothing to lose by taking this test… and everything you could possibly want to gain.

There are two things that may be said of everyone. Each of us wants something. And each of us is afraid of something.

I want you to write on a card what it is you want more than anything else.

It may be more money. Perhaps you’d like to double your income or make a specific amount of $$. It may be a beautiful home. It may be success at your job. It may be a particular position in life. It could be a more harmonious family.

Each of us wants something. Write down on your card specifically what it is you want. Make sure it’s a single goal and clearly defined. You needn’t show it to anyone, but carry it with you so you can look at it several times a day. Think about it in a cheerful, relaxed, positive way each morning when you wake up and immediately.

You have something to work for… something to get out of bed for…. something to live for.

Look at it every chance you get during the day and just before going to bed at night. As you look at it, remember that you must become what you think about. Since you’re thinking about your goal, you realize that soon it will be yours. In fact, it’s really yours the moment you write it down and begin to think about it.

Now we come to the difficult part—difficult, because it means the formation of what is probably a brand new habit, and new habits are not easily formed. Once formed, however, it will follow you for the rest of your life.

Stop thinking about what you fear. Each time a fear or negative thought comes into your consciousness, repeat it with a mental picture of your positive and worthy goal. And there will come a time when you‘ll feel like giving up. It’s easier for human being to think negatively than positively. That’s why only 5 % are successful. You must begin now to place yourself in that group.

_____________

I love a challenge, and I know you do also. 30 days, here we come!

Well, there you have it ….we are all on a 30-day mission. I have marked my calendar for the next 30 days.  Guess what??? The 30th day is two days after Thanksgiving. So let’s do this 30-day trial together. Get out your card and write down your 30-day goal. I would like to feature your goal-setting success story in our December 2nd issue, to inspire all of our readers.

Sincerely

California in October

CALIFORNIA seems to be calling me in October.

The month began in Sacramento, speaking to the wonderful California Staffing Professionals Business Owners Only Retreat. Today, I am flying to San Diego to speak to a group of Entrepreneurs and next week I am off to San Francisco to speak with The Business Connectors.

I love Californians. They are respectful, responsive, and ready to make changes. My topic with each of the groups is the same:

DON’T PUT ALL YOUR EGGS IN ONE BASKET…

START CREATING MULTIPLE STREAMS OF INCOME.

I am grateful that I have become an MSI Strategist along my path of helping business owners grow their businesses. It has made my one-on-one time spent with each business owner much more effective.

We have a lot in store for you at BIG BUSINESS VISION beginning next week, so stay tuned. In the meantime, if you have heard that having a mentor takes you to your destination faster than you can do it alone… You are correct.

Need clarity, focus, direction and a specific action plan? Email me

Best wishes,

Patricia Drain

Phoenix AZ Keynote

I just finished speaking in Phoenix, where I presented a keynote for the Chandler Chamber of Commerce. Here is the interesting title they chose:  Show Me The Money.

This keynote was chosen because today we have to use new, creative ideas to earn money. During my break-out sessions, I also spoke about multiple streams of income. As you know, if you have been reading any of my material, I don’t know what I would have done, during this unusual time we are all living through, without multiple streams of income.

Best wishes,

THE STRANGEST SECRET… PART TWO

Since I get asked all the time for my definition of success, I thought I would share with you Earl Nightingale’s version from his wonderful book/CD THE STRANGEST SECRET.

A SUCCESS IS…

  • The school teacher who is teaching school because that is what he or she wants to do.

  • The woman who is a wife and mother because she wanted to become a wife and mother and is doing a good job of it.

  • The entrepreneur who starts his own company because that was his dream—that’s what he wanted to do.

  • The salesperson who wants to become a topnotch salesperson and grow and build with his or her organization.

A success is anyone who is deliberately doing a predetermined job, because that’s what he or she decided to do…deliberately. But only one of 20 does that!

That’s why today there isn’t really any competition, unless we make it for ourselves. Instead of competing, all we have to do is create!

For 20 years, I looked for the key that would determine what would happen to a human being. Was there a key that would make the future a promise that we could foretell to a larger extent? Was there a key that would guarantee a person’s becoming successful if he or she only knew about it, and knew how to use it?

Well, there is such a key, and I’ve found it.

Have you ever wondered why so many people work so hard and so honestly without ever achieving anything in particular, while others don’t seem to work hard, yet seem to get everything? They seem to have the magic touch. You’ve heard people say, “everything he touches turns to gold.” And have you noticed that a person who becomes successful tends to continue to become more successful—and, on the other hand, have you noticed how someone who’s a failure tends to continue to fail?

Well, it’s because of goals. People with goals succeed because they know where they are going. It’s that simple.

I’m sure that many of you who read it know that every word he wrote is true, yet we still do not consistently set goals. Well, let’s change that today. Set a goal for the last quarter of the year — in fact, think BIG goals. Then share with me what you learned about yourself and goal-setting as part of the plan. I will print your success story in my ezine and also what you learned from the process.

See you next week!

Story of 100 People

I am sure you have heard about the studies they have been doing for years with 100 people who either graduated at the same time from high school or college, even 100 people born and raised at the same time in the same town. Here is what has been discovered year after year:

  • 60% are living paycheck to paycheck
  • 27% are financially dependent on others to make it in this world
  • 10% are above average in earnings
  • 3% are financially independent

When asking each of those 100 people if they have ever designed their life by either learning about manifesting, the laws of the universe, or goal setting.

  • 60% were aware some tried goal setting but only a couple of times
  • 27% didn’t know what we were talking about
  • 10% understood and were very aware of the universal principles working in their lives
  • 3% not only understood the game of getting what you want

All of their aspirations and desires written down. Do not be one of the 87% mentioned above. Take the plunge; you have nothing to lose and everything to gain, by being one of the 13% getting exactly what you want out of life and business. When we get into the game of THINKING BIGGER ABOUT OUR LIVES AND OUR BUSINESS, it’s like something magical happens. Opportunities start showing up; the right people seem to appear and doors open that we thought were closed to us before. One of the lessons I have learned over time is we have to ASK for what we want out of life and the universe will work in mysterious ways to get it for us. I am sure that has happened for someone reading this right now. Please share with me your experience of a situation that a mind-shift changed your business and your life. As I get your life experiences I will share them with my ezine audience so that they can see their business differently. Let me end with some questions.

  • How old will you be 10 years from now?
  • How old were you 10 years ago?

The most startling number of the two is how old you were 10 years ago because if you are like me those 10 years went by in a flash. Join me today on this wonderful journey… JOIN ME IN THINKING BIGGER ABOUT YOUR LIFE AND YOUR BUSINESS.  Live your life with passion, Patricia Noel Drainwww.PariciaDrain.com

Internet Marketing Magic

I want to mention another area that I am finally conquering, to earn another multiple stream of income… Internet Marketing. 4 years ago I attended a dynamic weekend seminar that I traveled clear across the country to attend. I learned so many ways to make money on the internet. I came back to Phoenix ready to make my first million on my ebook, or my membership site, and for sure with my new SEO (search engine optimization expert).  To my dismay none of that happened. In fact, I spent thousands of dollars and got NOWHERE. Then I discovered two gals that teach the internet the way it should be taught.Linda Allen and Robin M Powers, at Biz Recipes, they know how to simplify the process and make it work for all of us, not just the technical gurus. One of the things I personally learned about the internet is that I need to be proactive. I could not wait for someone to find me on the search engines, or I could be waiting for a very long time. My first attempt to be proactive was sending out an email campaign, and it worked - people liked my email! The majority of you wanted to read the email, answer the trivia question, and read the quote at the end. I have now graduated to this ezine.   One of the most important points I want to share with you in this ezine is we do not have to do this business alone. There are people that can make it easier for each of us. Linda and Robin are two of those people. They are authentic. They are the “real deal.”  Believe me I have run into a lot of internet teachers who are not.  I will sign off with a quote from Timothy Ferriss’ book “The 4 Hour Work Week.” “Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination” Live your passion,  Patricia Noel Drainwww.PatriciaDrain.comwww.WhatShouldIBeWhenIGrowUp.com
